Details: Our Client operates in a pivotal area of the nuclear fuel supply chain which ends with the sustainable generation of electricity for consumers around the world. The supply chain itself can be subdivided into four key processes: mining; conversion; enrichment; and fabrication. With its industry-leading centrifugal technology and around 25% global market share, the company is firmly positioned in the enrichment stage, which is the highest value added segment of the supply chain. Their principal activity is the provision of a service to enrich uranium to provide fuel for nuclear power utilities. Its enrichment service is mostly provided on a toll basis using customers' uranium. In the US, they are currently constructing an enrichment plant in New Mexico, which is expected to become operational in 2009.
Position Summary:
Manage all aspects of our clients Facility's physical plant, its infrastructure and related services, to ensure an adequate, safe and efficient work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to the following):
E Select and train staff, assign and monitor work, appraise performance, recommend merit increases, promotions or transfers and initiate corrective or disciplinary actions in accordance with established policy.
E Manage the document control and records management programs in accordance with license and regulatory requirements.
E Manage the office operations functions.
E Manage resource planning, space allocation and layout, and budget for physical plant E Develop and control annual budgets for utilities, building grounds, and facility maintenance equipment, including approving expenditures.
E Establish and maintain program, processes, procedures and contracts to ensure security of physical plant.
E Develop specifications, negotiate contracts, and direct external services providers, such as general contractors for janitorial services, lawn and landscaping maintenance and general construction. E Manage all physical plant waste storage and removal, including working with outside contractors, management and employees to ensure and maintain environmental, safety and health compliance in accordance with company policy and regulatory requirements.
E Monitor, audit and assess energy and space usage and recommend actions to maximize energy efficiency and effective use of space.
- Develop and implement facility's overall physical plant strategy.
- Estimate construction cost and direct the renovation/construction as required for buildings, grounds, utilities and services.
- Manage maintenance of physical plant, including preventative maintenance.
- Review and/or inspect work for quality, accuracy, and completeness.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, standards and guidelines.
- Conduct capital expense and operational expense tracking and forecasting for physical plant.
- Provide support to senior management related to space planning, office moves, vendor costs, equipment needs, and other projects as necessary.
- Direct and oversee the planning, budgeting and scheduling of office reconfiguration, moves and modifications.
- Recommend and implement creative solutions to immediate space and equipment needs.
- Establish and maintain inventory of office furniture and equipment.
- Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Responsibility for the Work of Others: Managerial responsibility

J Education: Minimum: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university in Engineering or a related discipline Preferred: Experience: Minimum: 10 years of facilities/maintenance experience, including two years in a supervisory role Preferred: Nuclear facility experience
Licenses, Certifications or Registrations: Must be able to secure and maintain an "L" or "Q" security clearance. Other:
- Ability to work with diverse groups, manage others, and coordinate/direct work of contractors.
- Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations.
- Experience with utility and energy management systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of building or maintenance trades.
- Strong supervisory skills along with excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to identify and solve multiple problems.
- Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks and prioritize workload while maintaining attention to detail.
