Details: CRAFT III - PLANT CONTROLS ENERGY SYSTEMS Our Client operates in a pivotal area of the nuclear fuel supply chain which ends with the sustainable generation of electricity for consumers around the world. The supply chain itself can be subdivided into four key processes: mining; conversion; enrichment; and fabrication. With its industry-leading centrifugal technology and around 25% global market share, the company is firmly positioned in the enrichment stage, which is the highest value added segment of the supply chain. Their principal activity is the provision of a service to enrich uranium to provide fuel for nuclear power utilities. Its enrichment service is mostly provided on a toll basis using customers' uranium. In the US, they are currently constructing an enrichment plant in New Mexico, which is expected to become operational in 2009.
Education: Minimum: Technical Degree (Journeyman's license or two year Vocational School)
Experience: Minimum: 8 years experience in related field or 10-14 years Navy Nuclear
experience. Satisfies the training qualification requirements of a Craft II.
Experience with the specialized work discipline in a nuclear or chemical operating/processing environment. Specific knowledge and training in the individual's specialized work discipline.
Licenses, Certifications or Registrations: Journeyman's license; maintain US NRC nuclear fitness for duty qualification; attain/maintain a US government L-Level or Q-Level security clearance (based on assigned responsibilities).

- Must be knowledgeable of and comply with all aspects of the Foreign Material Exclusion program - Must be knowledgeable of and comply with all aspects of the Lock Out/ Tag out program.
- Attain and maintain qualifications for a NEF (nuclear fuels enrichment facility) Craft III position through timely participation in training in accordance with NEFNM maintenance training program. Initial and continuous training includes classroom instruction and testing on basic concepts/fundamentals in math (algebra, trigonometry and basic calculus), physics, chemistry, heat transfer and electrical theory. Additionally, training and qualification is required in system operations theory and component specific training. Complete field on the job training (OJT) and qualifications is required.

Working Conditions (relates to physical environment):
Radiological and industrial environment. Must maintain a residence within 60 minutes driving time of the facility. Must be willing to be on call for a set period of time on a rotating basis.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to walk and climb, perform tasks while wearing respiratory devices, work in confined spaces as required and use all tools associated with work discipline. Must possess the physical ability and capability of attaining qualifications needed for respiratory protection and breathing protection and breathing equipment usage as may be required to perform maintenance in nuclear materials and/or HAZWOPER work. All limitations, such as color blindness, phobias, hearing impairments, etc., shall be disclosed. Position Interacts With (internal and external contacts):
