Details: Our client is an international manufacturer of battery test equipment., they build the finest test equipment available including cell testers, lab equipment, temperature chambers, and battery test systems. They have thousands of systems in operation, in approximately 40 countries worldwide. Researchers, and manufacturers use their equipment for detailed evaluation of batteries and other energy storage devices as well as production and quality control analysis. They also use the equipment for test data organization and presentation.
Due to company growth and innovation, we are looking to add a new position as a Power Engineer to our team where you will contribute as a design engineer and have the unique situation of seeing the development of the product start to finish. No Dilbert Syndrome at this company.
What the job includes:
- Design leading edge products that include the design of high power systems that return energy to the grid
- Design electrical circuits and supporting circuits
- Create schematics using CAD software
- Layout and prototype circuit boards
- Support sales, manufacturing, and customer service
- Prepare and maintain design studies, drawings and engineering calculations
- Communicate with other departments and provide them with technical assistance or information when needed
- Perform design analysis and support calculations for engineering product development
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, including owners and vendors, in design related matters
- Participate effectively in problem resolution teams
What we need from you:
- BSEE or MSEE Degree.
- Willingness to perform all of the above tasks
- Experience in power electronic design
- Successful track record of PCB design and layout
- Develop electrical diagrams for multiple systems
- The ability to hit the ground running
- The ability to solder and prototype
- Demonstrate engineering ability and extensive knowledge in electronic design
- A professional career minded attitude
