The products are an important component of the SmartGrid, that saves electricity by increasing the efficiency of the delivery systems.
The company is looking for an experienced EE with a background in power electronics and offers excellent compensation and benefits.
Responsibilities:
You will Contribute to cross functional project teams to develop product from concept to production
- Design of power module architecture, scalable to a suite of company products.
- Broad-based, hands-on responsibility for electronic power module design and analysis.
- Ability to leverage the latest tools for circuit analysis, simulation and performance prediction.
- Develop, document and implement complete designs including assembly, testing and troubleshooting processes.
- Resolve failures through root cause analysis.
- Perform tolerance analysis for all electrical modules and components.
- Document and specify components/assemblies for PCBAs and system. Including assembly, testing, tolerances, and inspection techniques in accordance with departmental standards.
- Must work well with other designers, in house and out of house.
- Work in a lab environment assembling, modifying and testing prototypes.
- Assist in selecting and working with component suppliers.
Education, Experience and Skills Requirements
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years related professional experience in the design of Power Electronics
- Direct AC to AC converter, line frequency magnetic design experience
- 4-100kW power level experience
- Medium frequency experience 15-30kHz
- Agency UL/CSA/CE experience including documentation preparation
- Proven mastery of electrical engineering design principles and techniques
- Circuit analysis software
- Familiarity with ISO, IPC and quality improvement processes
- Reliability studies on product and components to assure product quality
